Taraweeh Prayers
The taraweeh Prayers will be 20 rakahs plus 3 rakahs for shaf’e and witr. It will be led by Br. Mohammad Abdi, Br. Ayman Elkasrawy and Br. Moustafa Shahwan who have memorized the Qur'an masha'Allah. For the last 10 days of Ramadan, there will also be 8 rakah tahajjud prayers, details will be provided later in the month insha'Allah.

Taraweeh prayers start right after the sunnah of the Isha prayer.

On weekends, there will be short lectures (reminders) after the first 4 rakahs of taraweeh. Also, once or twice a week, after the first 4 rakahs of taraweeh, there will be short fundraisers to support various needs in the GTA community and for worldwide relief organizations. All lectures and fundraising will be short and timely to ensure prayers do not go too late.

Zakat-ul-Fitr and Donations
In addition to Zakat-ul Mal (wealth), we also accept Zakat-ul-Fitr (Fitra). This year the Fitra is $7 per person in your household (whether they are fasting or not). Fitra should be paid before the Eid prayer (Salat-ul Eid). It is recommended that you pay Zakat-ul-Fitr as early as possible in the month of Ramadan so we can ensure it is distributed to the needy before the Eid prayer insha'Allah.

Eid Al-Fitr
Eid Al-Fitr will be on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009. It will be held at the CNE insha'Allah. Details will be available at www.gtaeid.com towards the end of Ramadan.
